Hopefully you are out of your food coma by now and had a blessed Thanksgiving. Putting my sweat pants on before I started eating worked so much better this year. With the
holiday hustle and bustle upon us all, take a moment this season to remember all those servicemen and women around the world that protect us and our freedoms. This is truly
the greatest nation on earth. “Peace on earth and good will towards all men”.

We have some candidates for two board member positions, Club Treasurer and Safety
Officer. Many people have stepped up already to volunteer for club a committee position, which always makes my job of running the club that much easier. Thanks to all that have decided to get even more involved in our great club. We will be voting at the December meeting and then post a complete list of Officers and Committee Chairs and Committee Members in the January newsletter.

I am excited about our new meeting location and the awesome Christmas Auction lined up for you all. Remember the points you accumulated throughout the year allow you to bid
on items at the auction. From the total number of points handed out this year, the bidding will be fast and amusing as is always. Remember your points aren’t good anywhere else and they don’t carry over, so bid; otherwise you will end up with a bottle of glue, although, this for some of you is like gold…

I am sure Ray will cover it many times in coming months but I wanted to make a point of telling you the new schedule for Newsletter submissions and publishing. Because you all
are aware our meetings are moving to the last Tuesday of every month the following is the targeted schedule. The newsletter should be posted no later than the Tuesday, two weeks prior to the monthly meeting and all articles, submissions, pictures and reports will be due the first Tuesday of every month. This will allow our Newsletter Editor time to create our wonderful newsletter.

OK this is the last time I will be including this information; we have contracted with the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 hall in Naperville www.napervfw3873.org for our new
meeting location. We will begin meeting at this new location starting in December 2009. Mark your calendar for Tuesday, December 29th for our meeting and Annual Christmas
Auction.

May 2010

We are running at full fun speed now boys and girls.  The flying field has been hopping and many new faces have shown up to partake in our great hobby.  If you can spare some time on the Tuesday and Thursday Flight Assistance Nights I am sure Ivan and the other instructors would appreciate the help.  We have been having a great time in our new meeting venue at the VFW hall.  The space is fantastic, even so much that many of you seem so far away.  At our next meeting on May 25, 2010 we will be trying a new seating arrangement so we can bring you guys and the planes up front.  I for one like to hear about your new plane or project and also this way no one has to spin around to see the presenters.
